"Sick" questions...

Post by sowhat »

I know some of you have been at annual fan club's conventions or maybe at some press conferences. What were the "sickest" questions you've heard there?
Like some displays of my collection (taken from the "massage bored" of a "long-gone" website...)
- ...did Mike Pender ever play Fender?
- ...is John's hair dyed or natural?
- ...I've heard John's wife is named Mary, who is Hilda Baker then?!
- ...is Chris Crummey a real name?!
- ...Frank is so swwweet! Does he like blondes?
- ...I think they'd better have changed their name to Finders. Maybe they'd have more success.

The myth about the Searchers that has persisted for many fans, and journalists too, that I hear is that the group used a 12 string guitar in the recording of Needles and Pins.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Maybe they did, Peter, but with only 6 strings on it at the time!

It's never sounded like 12 to me.

Phew... just checked your post date - not April 1!!

- Where did Mike Pender adopt a Russian accent?
(SC's comment: it's not April 1! 8-) strange as it seems, it sounds the same to me...)
