Just ordered my Roger McGuinn tickets
I'm going to see him on May 21st in Newberry,SC at the Newberry Opera House; anyone else going?

Saw him last year guys, just after the release of Limited Edition, about this time. Good show, but he didn't use his 370, at all, just his Martin 7 string. Hope he gives you a little more. You just expect to see him use the Ric.

At the time I think McGuinn had just had the Martin 7 for a short time and was rather enamoured with it I guess. I mean the show was great but I wanted the Ric. I had been waiting 38 years to see him play it and I'm still waiting. Maybe you and Steve will be more fortunate.

Saw RM last night, Buffalo State college. Packed house (986 capacity).
He played the Ric for approx 4 songs (not EMH - that was played on the Acoustic 12 string) of the 30ish songs played. He totally missed and did not play the guitar lick inside TTT.
Honestly, I thought the Ric sounded flat, over amplified by the sound engineer. And could tell, since he started playing it and the volume got "turned up", then he quit playing cuz he didn't like the sound, to tune the guitar, so it got "turned down", and it went back up after he got it adjusted/how he wanted it.
He sure does like that 7 string. He called it the "swiss army knife" of guitars.
Show was 90 minutes. It was worth it. He sure enjoys playing, really gets into it.
It was weird, the audience wanted to clap/show support at beginning of songs, but immediately go quiet to not miss any playing/music.

Thanks for the welcome, and sure - to explain:

TTT Lyrics:
(Beginning left off), then:
A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing
- Insert missed 12 string instrumental break RM did not play... -
To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven
A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear it’s not too late

I hope it was a mistake, he seemed very confused with the action of the Ric, this was the time when he was futzing with the tuners as I mentioned above...
Anyway, if he does the same improvational riff on EMH with the 12 acoustic at your show, it is the highlight of the whole show. I thought he was going to tear the strings off of it!
He walks onstage with the ric, and ends walking off with it. He came back on with it for encore, started to play but actually TOOK IT OFF and switched to the 12 acoustic (I thought I heard him mumble something about "having to tune").
He plays songs from each decade, a pretty good mix. Tosses in some interesting commentary, like the bus trip with Joan Baez, and working with Tom Petty.

oh, and I have to add...
If there is a pretty brunette, dressed all in black selling RM autographed Limited Edition CD's at a table before the show, ask if her name is Camilla (Roger's wife).
I could swear it was the same lady at the sound station, talking into microphone (presumably to RM) backstage.

Yep, it was Roger's wife selling the CD's...
Here is some video from a local TV interview, with Camilla commenting:

So yeah it was her. Wish I would have known.

We saw Roger McGuinn at the Barns of Wolf Trap last night. In a word, he was
spectacular.
He opened on the Rickenbacker, walking out from the wings playing My Back
Pages. Pardon the plug, but it sounded wonderful being played through a
JangleBox -- *very* full and chiming. Uncharacteristically, he truncated
the song after the first verse to take a seat next to his three signature
guitars: the Ric, and two Martins -- the D42-RM and HD-7RM.
Roger was funny, warm, and conversational throughout the evening, relating
stories associated with the songs and other anecdotes (but totally
unscripted... not like "Live From Mars"). He really seemed to be enjoying
himself. His voice, which I thought was a little tired last year, soared.
Unlike other rock stars, his range has grown, not diminished, over the
years.
Some highlights: a beautiful acoustic 12-string version of 5D, which he
began by playing the outro (one of my all-time favorite McGuinn solos); a
spirited and animated Jolly Roger; and the always amazing 8MH (full version,
with two extended solos).
I ran into Camilla before the show, and asked her to please express my
tremendous gratitude to Roger for his support of JangleBox. She told me to
stick around after the show, which, of course, we did. When the crowd
cleared out, we were taken to the "green room", where Roger came in to greet
us and chat for a while. He was in great post-concert spirits -- jokingly
calling my wife "Mrs. JangleBox", and graciously saying how much he liked
the box. Man, what an evening!
