Try to "associate"...

Post by sowhat »

When i was young, me&my friends used to play a game of "associations", that's it: you have somebody on your mind, people around you name some characteristics (like, colour, animal, plant, number, etc), and you have to say what do you think would be the characteristic for this person, as you associate. And they'd try to guess who's on your mind. So can you tell me who's on my mind?
Color: yellow/orange
Plant: apple tree
Flower: dandelion
Animal: Scotch terrier
Number: 13
Tune: I'm all shook up
Season of the year: Summer
Weather: sunny
Food: something 'exotic'
Bet that's enough! So who's that?
PS: a member of the Searchers, of course...

Roy: As I look over the information I think you may be on to something here!

Personally I fel that Frank is the "summer", "sunny" and "exotic" one in today's Searchers. Imagine John and Frank on tour in Portugal. I bet Frank is the one exposing himself to the sun. John meanwhile hides in the shade under an umbrella. When it gets to lunchtime: Who makes safe orders from the menu, and who is the one going for the dish he doesn't exactly know what is, taking chances? Frank not??
But as for the "Scotch Terrier" bit, I confess John (or Spencer?) is the more obvious bet.
Searchers amongst my teenage favourite music. Still fond of them, but earnestly a little puzzled they are considered THIS big! But I'm very excited about this forum, and will love to read it regularly, and also contribute!

"Scoth terrier" is more a 'visual' association. And he's a Scotch, anyway... 8-) So Einar you got it.
PS: huh... i couldn't have imagined John McNally would come to mind... maybe 'dandelion' was a misleading factor... Still, it's always interesting how different people may think...

Billy Adamson was a big admirer of Elvis, which is why I went with "I'm all shook up." The Dandelion top hair also led me to Billy.

Well Peter, to tell you the truth, "dandelion" had nothing to do with hair or other 'visual' characteristics. It's more like a metaphor: a simple flower, growing everywhere, but somehow it's very nice and warm. Along with Ray Bradbury's "Dandelion wine" and so on.
And here are some more "devinettes"...
