Post by Agnes »

I know it isn't a rick but are there any McCartney Bass lovers who know anything about his Yamaha? I have one myself only it's a BB1000E, and I thought Paul owned a BB1100.
who can help me?
I have a picture for anyone who's interested.

I would love a picture of Paul and his Yamaha. In the July issue of Guitar Player magazine Paul simply states that for a while he played the Yamaha. The earliest photo's I've seen of Paul and the Yamaha is around 1979. This was when "Back to the Egg" was released. I've seen Paul with the Yamaha as late as 1983. I know he recorded with it for "Tug of War' and "Pipes of Peace". For his next album (and movie) "Give My Regards To Broadstreet", Paul is perfoming once again with his 4001S.

As for the model #... I don't know. I haven't seen any documentation on which model it is. I thought it was a BB1600. I haven't really researched it except to say that I did inquire from Yaamha which model it was and I did not receive a reply back.
LET THE WORLD KNOW YOU WANT PAUL TO BRING BACK THE 4001. JOIN OUR FACEBOOK GROUP!! http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=147641915268984
