RIC artist Kenny Howes in San Diego tonight

Post by kevin »

That's right. Kenny Howes, a Rickenbacker Artist if there ever was one, will be performing in San Diego this evening, May 25, 2005. The venue is Lestat's on Adams Avenue. Kenny hasn't told me what guitar will be in use, but I'm hoping for an appearance of the Lightshow.

Kenny will be pulling dual duty tonight. In addition to his solo set, he has kindly offered his skills as a fill-in bass player for my band, The Shambles. My Hamer 12-string bass will be heard on at least a song or two tonight.

A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

The lightshow is currently on the workbench. I think I'll be using my '67 330.

What's a "lighthsow"? Is it some form of porcine animal?

cannot you not just take it off the workbench, or is it bolted down to it?

I, too, saw it too late, otherwise I'd probably have made the 80-mile drive down there.

Y'know, Kenny, you can change your post and correct your spelling, but *I* know you originally wrote "ligthsow".

To all who missed it, Kenny rocks. I can say no more.

Nice pictures, Tom!

Was the Shadow just for background, or did it get some playtime?

The Shadow was actually Kenny's main bass for the evening. He only used my Hamer on about 1/5 of the set. BTW, that Shadow is an incredible sounding bass. Kenny credits the setup, but I tend to feel the player had a lot to do with the great tone coming out.
