First Gig with my 330

Post by revolver »

So I played my first gig with my 330. All was great, except that under the red lights or any darkness my fret markers disappeared! I've never had this problem before because all my guitars (SG, 360, LesPauls) have always had binding on the neck. Looks like I'll have to request white stage lights from now on!

Lookin' very cool, that must be JetGlo, easily the "coolest" Ric finish.

It is JetGlo indeed. Just spent the afternoon rubbing "sweat gunk" off of it!

Don't forget the Zymol!

Revolver: You can save yourself hours of work and cleaning by wearing a light cotton long-sleeved shirt that will absorb the moisture and stop it from running all over your instrument. Not as cool, but very practical during the hot gigging times. The sweat band on the playing hand is another good option, but it looks like you have one on in the photo.

It takes hours to clean off a JG guitar ? Funny, I clean mine off in a matter of minutes ...

She's so beautiful most of the "cleaning time" turns into "strumming time"!

Good point on the white binding under low lights being easier to see. I have noted that, too.

"...white binding under low lights being easier to see."

I guess we can add that to the list as to why some choose a 360 over a 330.

Robert - My band plays pretty straight ahead power pop. We're fans of bands like Teenage Fanclub, The Beach Boys, Weezer, Fountains of Wayne. We've sold a couple songs to the Canadian kids show Degrassi - The Next Generation. There are some Mp3's up on our website www.juniorachiever.com (please excuse the fidelity!)

R.C. - I still wouldn't trade in my 330 to get my 360 back!

Thanks Dave. A great combination.
