I just wanted to show off the beautiful work that Mark did on my 360_12V64. Mucho bang for your buck. Here is a list of what he did:

1- Reshape nameplate to clear slots , sand and polish edge of Nameplate

2-Remove stainless rod bar , replace with aluminum full width bar

3-Rebuild 12 saddle bridge .....
3a--sand top ,
3b--notch slots at .045 from center of each pair and angle slots at 10 degrees
3c--Cut slots with round edged joint files .
3d-- Cut depth of notches so the tops of the strings follow
a 10" radius for smooth picking motion
3e-- check for saddle wobble -compress loose saddle to tighten screw thru length hole
3f--stretch spring and shift long spring to remove rattle possibilities

4- Mount new nut blank , cut notches

5-using the D'Addario string that were on the guitar ...finalize nut slots,and adjust the truss rods .

6- remove pickups and move bridge plate away from the neck .
Etch bottom of plate "B" for bass and "T" for treble side .
Locate bridge for E flat or standard tuning .

7- Remove guards and install protective tape for rounding edge process ,sand and buff edges
Reinstall guards ... mount 1" masking tape at holes as per spec in the 1960's and 1970's and 1980's

8- Rebuild six saddle bridge ....with 12 saddle bridge relocated and centered to
the neck ....the six saddle bridge slots were wrong.
In the event you wish to return to the six saddle bridge ... it now will fit .
It is also intonated for the PYRAMID brand strings that were sent to me for this series of mods .

9- Level and polish slightly worn frets

10- SET UP :
restring with the supplied Pyramids ...tune to E flat as per requested
Adjust truss rods
Fine tune nut slots
Set bridge height
Set intonation for E flat / D sharp
Set pickup height
Install foam pad in control cavity to stop the wires from rattling

Check for saddle wobble ...front to back and side to side
Check for spring rattle

Take many photographs of these processes

I would encourage everyone to get this done. It makes a world of difference. It really makes you play and sound better. Mark was very informative and fast with the return emails. Give him an email if your interested: [email protected]

I wrote to him a while back about his mods and I'm still considering having him work on my 370/12 when I can afford it.
Apart from the cost of the work he does I'm concerned about the cost of shipping the guitar to him. Doesn't he live in Washington state? I'm in WI.

Yes, he is in WA. I'm in NC and it cost me about $40.00 to ship to him. Mark request that you go ahead and take care of the return shipping up front too. Pay both ways one time and forget about it. That speeds up his turn around time.

JC, absolutely beautiful V64. Thanks very much for taking and posting such detailed pictures. Mark is a superior technician and his price is well worth the time and quality of work he does. I miss him here.

I made my own nut for my CW and he was so nice to send me pictures and instructions. How's that for a stand-up guy.

Yes, a stand up guy indeed. He would be a fine resource here. He's not one to hold back his opinion. What you see is what you get. Personally I find that very refreshing.

Could not agree more. I sent him my 360/12, and when it came back it was not the same guitar. I found Mark very easy to work with. He is a stand up guy, and he takes pride in what he does. That is something you do not see that often today.

He is certainly a good guy just to have around for what he has done for Rics.
I can't imagine getting a 370/12 without his mods.

It was originally a 360V64.

It's now a 370A64-T10.

so what all did he do to your guitar?
just a paint job in black is no reason give him this much attention ....at least to my thinking .
