She arrived Friday, and I am extremely pleased. It's in pretty good shape for being 33 years old. It has the small headstock, with Grovers. Don't care much for the tuners, they are to easy to turn, and looks like it would go out of tune easily, plus they stick out too far.
I cleaned it up a bit, and it looks and sounds great. I love the slim necks on the 4001's, and like the 4002, it seems lighter than the 4003's.
I ordered a clear finger rest from Tony at Pickguardian, and that should make it complete.
Sorry I didn't have any Hot Chicks in bikinis posing with the bass. I'll have to get some volunteers next time.
Another lucky purchase.
