My Laredo is quiet as a baby, Charly. No hum at all in it. But now I'm guessing you're talking about humbackers!
I don't know about the why regarding the 4004 electronics. Certainly nowhere near as tonally flexible as my 4001, but...I can easily dial in about 9 different tones the way it is, so it's not like you're stuck. So far I'm OK with just the single volume and tone. Would be cool if there were the option to get the VVT configuration or even stacked pots, but then we're getting into the "Ric Custom Shop" issue again...

Above e-mail is inactive. try ed_ardzinski@**** where **** is Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com. I tend to see things inthe hotmail box quicker...
I saw this morning that this guitar was only at $825 with a little over a day left. Either no reserve or reserve already met. Seems like a great deal-doubt it will go over a grand.

I like the green, actually its my favorite color. I would contact the seller and ask for better pics if interested. My trans Red 4004 CII is very hard to capture the true color.
All the pics I've posted of mine here on the forum always turn out to orange looking, I'm betting its the same with the green finish, I'm thinking its much darker.
