Sorry, can't try to talk you out of that. I like it too, and have one myself.

Buy the way, I sold the SG 4003/5 (Next to the MG) to POTR two years ago. I needed money for a C64.

I am still kicking myself.

So Dave, tell me about the minor wear that Chris mentioned in the listing. How severe is it? Also, did you notice what strings were on it? I suspect that it has Rotos based on the red silk at the top and would be curious about fret wear.

Ron is not getting much help in this thread. Image
Above e-mail is inactive. try ed_ardzinski@**** where **** is Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com. I tend to see things inthe hotmail box quicker...

Ron;

You are really testing my memory;

I do not recall any damage at all; the action was low;
I do not recall fret wear.

Un-pluged, it had a good loud sound.

If you can wait; I’ll be there again at weeks end and I can give it the “once over”
for you.

Chris seems to be very conservative when he lists equipment. He had a white 4003s/8 a while back and he had described a few marks on it over the phone. I ordered it and everything he described was very minor. I usually prefer a conservative estimate on a bass' condition rather than the sales puff I usually see on Ebay.

Speaking of Ebay, I saw a MG BT 4003 there, but the Emperor has a bid on it and I suspect it will get close to Chris' price in the end. Plus, Chris has a 48-hour approval policy, so I'd rather risk spending a little more and getting the one he has if I pull the trigger.

"It's only Mapleglo !!!!"

Don't worry Jim, I own a Fireglo 4003 and have a Fireglo 4001C64 on order. That MG BT combination looks stunning to me.
