Alright Already!! or The Beauty of the 660/12

Post by kalimusic »

Yeah, Dean, i was only joking.
I love this guitar. My wife sez she doesn't like it in bed with us, but since I've got it on my side she's not threatening divorce.

Seriously, the 660/12 has immediately become a cherished member of the family. It comes to every gig w/me and gets it's fair share of use - often in songs that I used to do with the 6-string since it's so easy to play and even do bends in the solos.

Further, I've got one of the BLUEBURSTS on order, too.

The balance thing is no big deal. I got a wide strap and have had some therapy, so all's well now.

I'm gonna try some hi gains for a little more punch. I've already changed the "Balance" control to a Master Volume w/trbl bypass. Maybe I can get John to make one w/hi-gains, Master Volume w/bypass and call it the Murali Levine model. I've got a great looking signature, too. Image

Glad you love your 660/12 like I do. It is such a perfect solution to my 12-string needs, I will never need another 12'er ever. I wish I had one bass and one 6-string that I could say that about, but I tend to switch around on those. The 12 is locked in, though. Congratulations on yours! If Rickenbacker makes a Levine signature model, maybe they can offer a 6-string version I could get....

Dean,
I don't know what your preference is for 6 strings, but I'm strictly a Gretsch man. The new ones are made extremely well and sound great, IMO.
