The Rick 360 CW-12 sound
Another thread described the sound of the CW-12 as been closer to the 60s sound. I recently received my CW-12 after Mark Arnquist fixed its factory flaws. I have recorded a song with it called "No More Love". It is the 1st song in the list and this is the web site:

I was going for a George Harrison sound using The POD. To be honest, it was easy getting a McGuinn sound using the POD, but it didn't work with the song as well as The Beatles sound. I set The POD with the black face, but at the last minute used the Vox AC-30 model. Let me know if this is the right sound.

Thanks for your kind words. I used The POD straight into a Mackie mixer and then into a Delta 66 Card. Mark Arnquist suggested these settings:
"Black Faced Fender -amp
Bass at 5, midrange either off (Byrds) or 4 to 6 for Beatles)
Treble about 8
turn on the compressor ,and set the twwek knob at about 1 to 2 oclock
Add a little reverb (about 4 to 5 )
turn the drive way down 2 or 3 tops the master on 4 and the channel volume on 7
that should nail it .
to get the single verion of "WHY" tone , use the small tweed amp setting , turn the mid and bass off , crank the treble to maximum and the rest of the controls are the same."
MDA
I tried the above, but the sound was too Byrds like. SO I switched the amp to a Vox AC-30 and that did the trick for a Beatle type sound. I think I also used the Vox cab on the POD. I used both pups on the CW-12. I tried to mic my amp, but gave up right away. That brings another layer of extra tweaking, type of mic, plus the noise factor in the house. BTW, I also used EQ on the Rick track to roll the low end down. They call it a high pass filter.
The drums are the dry studio kit from Drag and Drop Drummer for Cakewalk Sonar software.
Thanks for listening and giving me feedback!

Oh, I see. The CW stands for Country and Western. No, Chemical Warfare. No, Continuous Wave. No, clockwise. No, cable & wireless. No, caution and warning. Complete with. Committee of the whole. Chilled water. Cheese & Wine!
I saw Carl's amazingly creative brother last year, performing Pet Sounds. What a concert!
