GAS Attack for a 4001C64S!

Post by desertgoldenboy »

Okay, just a few weeks after buying my first Rick, an '01 Desert Gold 4003, I had a GAS attack today and put a deposit on a new 4001C64S. Of course, I don't expect to see it for several months. I ordered from POTR because I prefer to patronize local businesses...besides, Chris gave me a great deal.

Can anyone give me an idea how long of a wait I have ahead of me?

Thanks!

I hear the current wait is 14 months, but my store ordered one and received it in about 9-10 months. It's sweet...

Wow, 14 months seems like a real long time to me...

I don't think it'll take that long.

I was told about 9 to 12 months on C series basses.. So I'm hoping to get my C64 around September at the earliest.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

I'm pretty sure Motor City Guitar in Waterford, Michigan still has one of these in Fireglo hanging in their store. Their website doesn't list stock info but you could get their contact info from it.

That would be really interesting to see a C64S in FireGlow. I guess it's possible, but for those of you that can't wait.
Sam Ash's website says availability 3 to 7 days.
$2,299 and free shipping.

My mistake, I must have been reading Randy's post and I didn't see the S at the end. They've got a C64.

Thanks for your input, guys. I don't mind waiting for my C64S - I already bought 4 guitars this year and told the wife I wouldn't 'get' another one in 2005, so if I have to wait til '06, at least I'm not lyin'!
