My girlfriend just told me that my 2 rickenbackers are her least favourite of my guitars! I told her I couldn't talk to her anymore and basically, things were over between us unless she explained herself.

She countered with: "well I'm only going on looks. I don't know anything about how they play so don't get upset"

don't get upset??? only on looks???!!?

I'm now single. Potentially.

No, that would be unkind......... store it away in 'the file' for another day and let it go. She obviously doesn't know that your feelings for her are shared with others.......

She's obviously a Gibson Girl. Bit old fashioned, if you arse me.

Tell her that you sleep with your Ric's, she will no longer dismiss them so easily.

She may even try to compete with them, get herself some FireGlo style clothes, a purse with some metal studs resembling the bubbles on hi-gain pick-ups, a hat with the Rickenbacker name plate logo embroidered on it, pointing upward, a 6-saddle bridge for a belt-buckle, R tail-pieces stitched into her boots, JetGlo lipstick, hi-gloss panties with triangular pearl inlays.

This requires no deep thought.

She likes my Gretsch the best (two-tone smoke green anniversary). And she's said in the past that she'd get a silverjet herself...

Hmmmmmm..... if your Rics happen to be Turquoise, then she might actually have a point. Other than that, she's obviously going through a personal crisis and should seek professional help.

Better yet, get her online here so we can all diagnose the problem. A couple of days on the Forum and she'll be begging your forgiveness.
