This is a sad day indeed. As a bass player John Entwistle was my idol. It's too bad we couldn't get another Who album out while he was still alive.

RIP John, and thanks for everything.

This is a sad event to be sure. One of my favourite photos of John Entwistle is here. He will be missed.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

For me as a guitar player, it has always been difficult to identify any specific bass players "signature" sound. This was not the case with Entwistle. He was the bass guitar and rock 'n' roll defined.

I was very saddened to hear the news about Ox. He was an original for sure and will be missed by so many bassists around the world. John along with Chris Squire and Jon Camp heavily influenced my playing style and musical tastes.
