Roger Glover gets his 4001 back

Looks ike the restoration on RG'S 4001 has been completed and he's pleased with the results.

He say's he got to try it out on stage and it sounded awesome...hopefull he'll be using it again now it's up and running.

Hmmm....makes you wonder what's in the neck position.

It's hard to tell in the pic,but it does look wider then a stock Ric pickup.

Hey Roger, your 4001 deserves better pickups than that!

I find with my amp I can get that signature Rick sound even with the SD's. I don't think they're all that bad, but then my 4001 neck pup was totally dead when I got it.

I actually found the shop that refinished it online. Here's a link to a picture of the bass being "hung up to dry". It definitely has an aftermarket neck pickup as well as the Duncan bridge pickup:

I heard that he was not happy with it and was not playing it much on tour.
