I'm surfing the official Rickenbacker site and running model comparisons (very nice feature! many kudos for that), and narrowing it down... maybe.

And I click on the small icon for the 381/12V69 and the info page comes up...

...with one photograph.

A clean photograph, for sure, and uncluttered, but no closeups, and it leaves me wanting so much more.

I wish there could be a Ric staffer dedicated to taking about six or eight shots of every finished Ric in every colorset that comes off the line.

At very least... could we have a few more detailed shots of the stock model, production guitars?

It is relatively rare to see any Rics in the local shops to get a hands-on look-see. And looking through these boards for example, you'll find plenty of people clamoring for other board members to submit as many detailed photo posts as they can. See the "Blueburst" thread under Rickenbacker General node for example.

Help!

"I would advise patience in this matter, O Newbie...

Rickenbacker documents things very thoroughly, judging from all of the old catalog shots that they say they have on file.

But the new site is a work in progress, and time will see your wishes fulfilled."

...I got that out of a big ol' Eight Ball.

They have a TON of pictures to go thru, from what John says, and compared to the old site, this one is a quantum leap! (Insert Harry Dean Stanton reference here!) I'm sure it will only get better and better!

That sucker just rolled in and took over my living room. So much for plasma screens.

Some more pix wouldn't hurt, but the new site is really good and Ric Inc derserves a hand.
