4001V64 or 4001C64?

Post by adam_joel »

Hello All,
I am looking for the closest to McCartney's bass. What are the differences between the 4001V63 or 4001C64 in lefty?

Also, what lefty model, if not one of the aforementioned, is the one that has a lefty headstock, where the protrusion on the headstock is on the top, UNLIKE McCartney's?

Thanks guys! I am trying to make a purchasing decision, so your help is greatly appreciated.

Again, I would try here.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Peter's right. The 4001C64S is the model most like Paul's bass as it is today.
Zero fret, sanded body.
Buy it before someone else does.
