Talk about your "bio-graphic" auction listing!

It's actually kinda cool how the seller gets into the recounting of this poor thing's history!
My first bass was a Rickenbacker...
My best bass is a Rickenbacker...
My last bass may very well be a Rickenbacker

At least he's honest about the bass. I hope he gets a decent price for it. As far as the neck crack repair goes, if the bass is stable, I wouldn't be afraid of it. I have a V63 with a long neck crack down the treble side that was professionally repaired and it has worked beautifully. The scar is visable, but the neck is solid as a rock.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

Really, that honesty is pretty refreshing on an eBay auction. Still, the lack of binding makes it look pretty odd, since it doesn't have the contouring that the S basses had.

Well, I opened the bidding on this one...I'd really like to get it and do a refinish on it, um, like violet-glo, maybe? It would make a nice twin to my '80 formerly burgundy-glo, now irridescent blue. I still need to get a digital camera so I can take pics....maybe for Christmas
