Strap locks

Post by bucknuttie »

I bought some Schaller "security locks" for my rick 620 but they didn't fit right. Does anyone know if rickenbacker makes some or if there are any out there that will fit it?

Katie: You can get the Schaller buttons already installed on the threaded shaft from RIC. Mike Parks sells these as well. They are inexpensive and very functional for the Rickenbacker solid body instruments such as the Model 620.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

You can also just go to your local hardware store and get machine screws with the same threads as the original Ric buttons and use them with the Schallers. The recessed holes in the Schallers are small, you may have to grind down the heads on the new screws a bit, but it will work like a charm. That's what I've always done and it works great.
