HELP! I need some info...

Post by paulv63 »

My friend has a 325 with a 50's stereo output jackplate. He would like to have a mono plate (the long kind Like JL's) but with the same serial numbers. How could we do this?

Paul: For this modification you might check out Tonewerks.

I thought Tonewerks was OOS on this item.

The serial number would be a problem here, as the jack would then be considered an unauthorized replica (to use a polite term) the minute the numbers were stamped on it.

Yes, agreed Paul. It would be expected that an jackplate installed would be without a serial.

The truth of the matter is, it would be quicker to track an already made mono long jackplate. I live in New York and I could just have one fabricated here. Lots of metal shops around town.
