I've got a great great great bootleg from Drama, Boston Gardens, 1980.... If only I was born, let alone even there.

What bass did Chris use for "Machine Messiah" ? Sounds like his RM1999.

I've actually been eyeing the 4001s MG on that website for a while. Basically, I'm saving up and hoping no one buys it. It's kind of my dream bass.

hehe...I was a tad too young to see concerts when that tour rolled through here, but I've met several who saw it. It's my favorite YES lp.

Hah!! I dont want to brag but I actually caught that tour twice, once with my girlfriend / future wife, and caught them on the rebound with a good friend of mine. Cincinnati and Dayton, in the round . My friend has some great pics of that show, including Squire's potato head 8-stringer. Every time I see him, I beg him to dig out the pics so I can post them here, but no luck yet.

I will succeed someday.

Yeah, his Ranney-8 is a beast. Its sound is a dead ringer for his old 4001/8, too.
