BUTCHERS!

Why would anyone want to carve up a perfectly good guitar? Obviously these people don't appreciate the asthetic qualities of a finely crafted instrument. Maybe that's why RIC doesn't have a dealer in France (they don't, do they?).

I already emailed the seller two weeks ago, and told him he was a moron.

Peter,

Anyone can butcher a beautiful instrument, and that person can be French, English or whatever. This has nothing to do with the origin of a person.

Stephane,

you're right, I believe that could happen all over the world.

But imagine the immediate punishment and prosecution if such thing happened in the US!
So nobody dares to!!!

This guys just a royal moron no matter what nationality,Id be tempted to get the guitar find a bass and put it back together but he wants too much the arrogant f---.

This guys response to my e-mail was:

"I love these instruments too but I love music more"
I don't care how good he thinks he is ,he isn't that good.

Not justifying what that moron did, but that is a nice looking guitar, sort of like a double-cut Gibson LP Special or PRS with a Ric trim.

In fact, I like it more than a 480 guitar with the longer top horn, which looks much better on a bass.

Hate to admit it, I have to agree with Ilan...that first one IS a nice looking guitar. Not that I would ever do this to a 4080, but if it were in the price range of a normal Rick guitar I'd be mighty tempted to snag it.

Now, that teardrop thing...ugh. Perhaps it could be called a Pox.

actually that makes a nice looking guitar ... it just doen't make sense to destroy a $3000 to $5000 4080 to make a guitar that is worth a few hundred bucks at best ...

It all depends on the amount of crack smoked, I think! No other explanation.
