1968 4001 in 'Rickenbacker Appraisals'

Check the beautiful 1968 4001 in 'Rickenbacker Appraisals'. Someone there claims that this particular Rick is a fake. I disagree. Except for the bridge pickup which obviously is not period correct and a couple of holes on the headstock, everything on the bass looks totally genuine and stock to me, even the mono output. Comments, anyone?

Sergio: This is a legitimate Rickenbacker bass and will likely fetch a handsome price. My two cents.

Greg's not one to be taken in by a fake Ricenbacker, he's been at this game way too long. It looks like a modified 4001, I'm thinking 1800-2000 at the most with the current market.
