Ric vs. Gibson

Post by idahosteve »

OK, so now I have guitars from the three basic food groups - a Ric 330, a Strat, and last week I got a used Gibson SG. All real, all American made; the genuine articles.

Getting used to it, but playing the Gibson is closer in nature to the Ric than it is to the Strat.

All three of them have a good feel to them and play well. I didn't get one of the new Epiphones cause the strings feel loose and wanky, and they didn't seem to have that good solid feeling overall.

On the same settings, the sound outta the Fender amp is closer too. The Strat is really it's own beast.

I like all three of them!

Does anyone else have similar opinions?

Rock on!
