MOJO magazine had a Clapton/Blues special out this summer that had a GREAT pic of Howlin' Wolf with his guitarist Hubert Sumlin playing a 360 while standing on a table in Cambridge Mass.
Wolf was singing on the floor surrounded by college kids while Hubert was studying his fretboard as he played. I thought he only played Gibbies back then. ANyone have any info on Hubert's Ric history? Maybe it was a one-off affair or a borrowed git-fiddle...but it sure looks cool!

It wasn't borrowed, and neither was the Gretsch Country Gentleman he played, either.

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”
