Sweet. The only thing I don't like about my '62 Tele is the placement of the selector switch. I don't play it enough to learn how to avoid hitting the switch when I play it.;

Nice one again, Mitch... love the Butterscotch!!

I'd been wanting one for quite a while myself - bought this AM HSS a few months ago:

Boring black, but the humbucker at the neck gives it a great sound!

Chris, one suggestion is to bend the switch DOWN at a 45-90 degree angle from the panel, so that it points DOWN when you are holding the guitar face out (as if you were standing and playing).

Another suggestion is to unscrew the control panel and turn it 180 degrees. Then, if the tone and volume knob's new configuration confuses you, just pull off the knobs and switch them for one another.

They're one of the classics, Mitch.

I had one of these:

Never could get used to the neck or response, though I loved the look. My bandmate and songwriting partner bought it and it's become his go-to guitar.

Now I get around on one of these:

This one feels just right. Telecasters can sound terribly thin, but with a bit of knob twiddling, a bit of 'verb Bob's yer uncle. I LOVE my Tele.

The creme binding is a nice touch.

Offers have been made, but this one's not for sale yet. Image

So many black Teles...

Nice, Bob..... That is cool! Nothing wrong with Squiers if you manage to fluke a good one! My Affinity Strat cost me $295 - it's a great player but it's a bugger to keep in tune! Apart from that, great!!

Love Tele's, they're neck and neck with Ricks for me.

Mitch, It was a really nice guitar all around, there were 2 things I didn't like about it though:

1) It came with that early 50's Tele wiring: 1st position, bridge pickup...middle position, neck pickup...3rd position, neck with the tone rolled all the way off. The third position was utterly useless for any style of music, even jazz.

2) It was really, really expensive. Couldn't justify the price, so I returned it to the shop after about a week.

It had probably the best neck I ever played, though. Baseball bat to the max.
