My Ric

Post by mdbuck »

Hello all, I joined a couple of weeks ago and said that I would post a pic of my Ric. It is a 366/12 and was born in April of 1967. I bought it about 3 months ago and when I got it, it was missing the combo attachment. So, I'm wondering, how easy is it to find one of these attachments and where I might be able to pick one up. Thanks for all input.

You have to love this fireglo finish! Real pretty Michael. These combs have shown up before, however, are a rare item. Based on comments from those who have this model, however, I suspect you will be enjoy the results of the 12 string option best.

Thanks Peter! I have to agree with you on enjoying the 12 string aspect of this guitar. I would just like to make it complete with the combo setup. As far as putting up a pic goes, I think it might have to do with not using the proper browser as I have MSN Explorer and also MSN I.E. My settings are set correctly for I.E. so, when I post another pic, it should come up. I hate to needlessly post a pic to find out but, it doesn't appear that you have a test page to do this so, I do this for my own confidence... Apparently, it is still not working and since I have already talked to you about it Peter, the problem, what ever it is, is on my end Image so, I'll have to figure it out probably by posting a pic on another board or something. Thanks for the help...

Since I'm here, the other thing that I didn't mention was the fact that the switch doesn't work and I need to replace it. When the guitar is plugged into the amp it has a buzz to it and it might be centered around this switch. I think it's a grounding problem as it will disappear when I am touching any metal part of the guitar. Does this sound like a good theory? Image

Micheal,
You might email Rick service dept and ask if
they possibly still have any NOS parts around that you need to restore your string converter.
Rick has been known to be ablee to assist on occasion with parts like this, even though they technically are out of production for years.
Give it a shot, you have nothing to lose, and you may even get lucky!
