My New FG 360/12 from the Philly Guitar show

Post by gjg59 »

Hi guys, I went to the Philly guitar show today. Big turnout. Chris from Pick of the Ricks was there. He had a new 2004 360/12 in a FG much darker than my 2005 360/6 FG. I had to buy it. Traded in my 360/6. Chris gave me a very fair trade. The new guitar is beautiful. My 360/6 had the giant knots on the back that look like big eyes. Very cool. Now I have a 360/12 FG and a 330/6 in MG, also from Pick of the Ricks. Man, he had a 330/12 in Montezuma Brown there. That guitar looked like it was dipped in caramel. It was incredibly beautiful. If you are looking for that, you may want to call him. That one will go fast.

Yeah, Chris had some nice examples of COY instruments like the 330/12 in MB that Gerry mentioned; he also had 4003 in Sea Green, a 330 BBR plus some others.

Congrats on your new 360/12, Gerry! I bought Chris's 360/12VP in Jetglo with gold guards and the 650D yesterday (see my post in 'General' for the full story).

John, it was nice to see you there yesterday! Btw, believe it or not, that 4003 is actually a Blue Boy that came from the factory a little green - I've seen it at POTR right next to a regular Blue Boy. But Chris insists it's a Blue Boy. Very strange but cool!

Blue, eh? Wow. It really looked like a Sea Green. Still a neat bass..
