Bridge question

Hey all... Well I started digging through storage bins I have full of guitar parts and tools, looking for the parts to my two '73 4001's.

Unfortunately, I seem to have more of one bass, an very little from the other.

The older bass has a split bridge, which I had removed and replaced with a Schaller... but I'm looking to put the original back on. But... it seems I don't have the actual bridge with the saddles. I do have a full non split bridge/tailpiece for the newer bass, but the bridge doesn't fir the older split tailpiece.

So.. does anyone either have a bridge they might like to sell or know somewhere to get one... even if it's a replacement. I'd hate to have to put the newer bridge on.

I have all the parts for the older 4001... except the treble pickup is dead (I can see some broken wire from the coil) and no toaster. For the newer bass I only have the bridge/tail, wavy tuners, and the treble pickup cover (!)... but not the rest of the pickup unit (no surround)... and NO TRC! Ack! Hopefully I have it somewhere else...

If the magnet checks out ok (don't know the specs but sure someone here does) by al means keep it and have it rewound- the 70's 4001 hi gains have a raw edge to them, as I;m sure you know. Maybe Sergio can rewind them for you? If mine ever die I will explore that option.

Don't know about the balance of your parts.

I had LIndy Fralin rewind one of my neck pups and it sounds earthshaking.

The magnet seems fine... it's one of those rubber magnets. I could rewind it myself I suppose. I don't have either of the toasters, but at least I can buy them.

I'm more concerned about the bridge though. I'll have to search some more... it's possible it's still somewhere... along with the TRC, and a few other parts from the other bass. So they must be in the same box... somewhere. I could have one made... but the whole point was to put the period parts back on. Ah, well...

I do find irony in the fact that I removed these parts (the bridge and pickup) for a reason... and now I'm worried about putting them back on. I'm sure the fact that this is not my main bass anymore helps!

A Sergio rewind is excellent and less $$ than someone else doing it.

Sorry, but I'm not doing any rewind jobs right now. Maybe in the next few months.
