This thread will be useless without pics.

It's here.

It's cold here (near Boston), so what's the best policy for getting the the case & instrument acclimated to the indoor temperature?

Let it climatize (is that a word?), to your house enviroment. If its real cold I'd allow 12 to 24 hours.

Bummer huh??

Closed case or do I crack it open a bit (I've heard of both methods).

It's not that cold, btw.

leave it in the case for a while and let the room temp filter through it

I believe that acclimate is the word to use in this context.

When I bought my s8 I posted a similar question and Mr. Hall said outside temps in the mid 30's wouldn't pose any issues as far as opening the case in the house. I'd leave it for a few hours if you wish to be VERY cautious.

Nah, I'm dialed into work. It's close by, however.

It was in the 40's here. I'll leave it for a few more hours.

Ok, I couldn't wait.

Under indoor lighting it's hard to tell if it's a true blue color or more greenish. When I take pics, it'll be apparent.

I'll post some pics later.

There's some wood happening here. ;-)
