NCM doesn't have it anymore...I've finally got it. I got it Christmas Eve and my darling wife hid it and wrapped it for Christmas. It is beautiful!!! I know you know what I mean when I say it smells great. The finish is immaculate. A flawless piece of maple. I have a 4001V63 in Fireglo, and that finish doesn't compare. The neck is flat and fast. It doesn't have the ARC that the V63's have. Of cpurse being a McCartney moron, freak, I love the reversed headstock. I finally got a quick chance to plug it in and it has that famous RIC sound! I imagine that I can be a bit more constructive with my review after I get off the clouds. I am anxiously awaiting the "S" model. GAry at NCM has been great. I look forward to doing more business with him.

I will do so as quickly as possible. I'm at the office today, and I still have a house full of guests, but I promise I will plug it in and give it a good run this weekend.

Hey Brian, Congrats! I'm expecting to rec. my 4001C64 in mid Feb from NCM (I hope). I quess that's your bass on NCM - the finish looks great.

What year is your V63? I have an 85 and the neck is great - flat and fast - no ARC. I've been playing this bass for 18+ years now and its one of those basses that gives you that certain feel everytime you pick it up. I think you know what I mean.

Good luck!

Andy. Have you received your bass from NCM yet? Just wondering. Have you been happy with their service?

Hey Rick:

I bought a 4001C64S from NCM a couple of months ago. Luckily I only had to wait 2 months!!! It's a little weird dealing with them because it's an email communication but I have nothing but good things to say about their service. Every email I sent with questions was answered pretty much right away. Gary is who I primarily dealt with. Excellent service. I doubt you'd be disappointed IMHO. Good luck.

I bought the 4001C64, C64S and the 325C58 MG from Gary. He has always been straight forward and reliable. He often got an earful from me on the delay with the C Series, but he was always helpful and honest. I have dealt with him both by phone and email and he has been very responsive. I will be purchasing the remaining C Series guitars from him in the near future.

Mister Money Bags. I am mulling over an order for a jetglo C64. Wish I could afford the whole line like you though.

One kidney brings $30,000 on the black market. I have asthma so I couldn't sell a lung. If they bring any new products out I am screwed. I really need both lungs.
