340/12's and 330/12's

Post by stubby »

What are your opinions on a 330/12 vs. a 340/12. Is the extra pickup the ONLY difference? Practically, how does this translate into difference in its usefulness/versatility? And what is the typical price difference (i.e. what do each run, generally)? I've done the comparison on the Rick site but they come up as dead ringers, except for the extra pick-up. Any other subtle differences you've noticed?

The ONLY difference is the extra pickup -which I love. Bill, I've never found the middle pickup a hindrance in any way. If your amplifier has plenty of clean headroom, select the neck pickup, adjust the tone to suit you, and be amazed at the richness and depth!
