What a company!
I just wanted to take the time to give Rickenbacker a big thumbs up. Not only are their customer service people great and their guitars simply awesome, but the owner of the company posting regularly on this forum! Now that's great!
Rod: I couldn't agree more. I wish to thank John Hall for taking the time to respond to posts. I am also appreciative of his willingness to clarify situations when our enthusiastic discussions are less factual than we would wish them to be. Thanks again John.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Besides having such a fantastic product, Rickenbacker International Corporation's greatest strength lies in the fact that it remains a private, family owned company. If it ever goes "corporate" in the fashion of practically all the other guitar and bass companies out there, then we're sunk people!
John Hall truly is to be commended for his active participation here. Can anyone imagine the head honchos at Gibson or Fender bothering themselves with such customer interaction? I know for a FACT that the top guy at Gibson is concerned only with how much higher he can jack up the prices on an increasingly shoddy product. This information comes from a guy I know who worked for 3 years back in the mid-90s at the Gibson electric guitar factory in Nashville. He told me that 95% of the staff meetings revolved around strategies on how high to raise prices; quality control was a mere afterthought.
Mr. Hall, my deepest thanks on behalf of the most loyal guitar and bass fans in the world. Rickenbacker IS the best, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
