Post by turlu »

If any of you is lucky enough to go visit the NAMM show this week-end, please etake pictures of the Rickenbacker Booth and post them asap for guys like me who can`t go.

I am highly interested to see pictures of the Cheyenne 5 String if possible.

Oh yeah, please do!

I'd really like a report on the sound and balance of the instrument as well. Image

There's a small possibility that I'll go. I went last year and had a great time. The RIC booth was very nice. I wasn't sure if I could bring a camera in last year, so I didn't bring one. I'll bring one this time if I go.

Hey that would be great, man. I am definitely planning to be at the summer show, but don't want to have to wait that long for a word! Image

I was able to attend last year's show. Had a great time, took a bunch of pictures, & was able to visit some old friends.

Brad, unfortunately in the past, RIC has not had an exhibit at the summer NAMM show.

The Montezua Brown is captivating to be sure. I really like the contrast with the fretboard.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Nice picture of the Cheyenne C11 5 String !!!

I was told by Rickenbacker Representant that the Cheyenne C11 5 String might be available within the next 10 months or so.... It has been more than one year so far that I have been waiting and now it will make it more than two if they ever decide to produce the Bass !!!

Too bad that the pickups are not surrounded by the gold metal plate that is on the Cheyenne 4 String for instance. It`s just looks but it does look very good on the Cheyenne 4 string.

I prefered the pickup surround as well on the 4 string Cheyenne.

That neck looks awfully wide to my eye, of course, I'm one of the few who don't mind the string spacing on the 4003S/5. My only other concern is the overall feel of the neck, and how deep it is. Some of the basses I've tried had wide fretboards, but a shallow depth made them easy to play.

I'm interested in hearing the impressions of people who could actually touch one of these. The only way that's going to happen here is to order one and see what the results are in January 2004 when it (hopefully) arrives.

When I asked John Hall at NAMM when the 4004C5II would be put into production, he said that the rest of the C Series (325C64 and 360/12C63) would be next....then the Jazzbo (which is VERY cool) and then the 4004C5II. JH, correct me if I'm wrong.

The C Series geometry and fixture work is all but completed now and the order of work is as you state.

However, the project immediately behind the 4004Cii's is probably the most interesting of all.

Would this "interesting" project involve guitars, basses, or pickups?
