I finally pulled the trigger and picked up the Epiphone Elite model. It has most of the features I love, and the reviews were outstanding. It's from Music123, so I can always return it.

My T-Bird is an actual Gibson & I love it. I know that Coop is quite fond of his Epi's though...

Oh yeah! Good call Marc. I have heard a lot of players say that the QC on the Elite series is better than the current new Gibsons. I have a feeling you will like it.
My Epis have served me quite well....

Got the Elite yesterday. So far so good. Not much of a neck dive if you ask me, in fact, the bass is light as heck. Finish is awesome.

Will fool around with it the next couple of days to decide if it's a keeper. Music 123 gives you 45 days to return it.

Marc - there's a 76 T-bird at Capsule Music ( www.capsulemusic.com ), in Toronto. If you're interested, maybe a Toronto forumite could check it out for you.

The one I should have went for is here:

Also, a friend told me about a natural one in Norm's Rare Guitars in LA. A white one just sold on Ebay for $2800

I'll probably just keep the Elite or have none for now.

Here's the real deal:

I'm kinda happy with my Elite though...It's made really well, and is light as a feather.
