4000

Post by ojobob2 »

Ages ago i was looking in a London secondhand guitar store, and i saw a nice jetglo black rick so i had a quick play, it was amazing. In fact it was a 4000, tho i didnt think much of it at the time. I take it the old 1 pickup models are rare? If i remember correctly it had unusual "closed" tuners, worn paint on back (body+neck) and the tag said 1975. I had no money at the time, so i didnt find out how much it was on sale for.

Out of curiousity, how much do u think it was worth?

Yep, 4000 basses are not that common.
'Unusual closed tuners'? Grovers, I guess.
I have no idea how much 4000s were going for back in the 70s, though. Anyone?
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
