That has the drone string before the standard string. Does that make it a 4008 ??

Good price I think.

It is a 4003S/8. The string order does not matter. The 4008 has neck binding and the tailpiece is a bit different. Jared has one. Perhaps he will post a pic showing the difference.

2 reasons.

1. Everyone spent all their money on Christmas.

2. The cat will be out of the bag this week at NAMM.

"My wife would kill me"....

Seems like you answered your own question. Image

It is too close to the holidays to get top dollar and while the price is "fair", IMO, it isn't "great".

Scott....a 4004Cii/8 would be a nice NAMM surprise!
(I'd be shocked if it happens within the next several years if at all)

I got mine for around $1500 about a year ago. It is a '98 that is 'as new' with all of the case goodies.

IIRC my '98 was $1350 shipped (Jan. '05) and also could pass as new.....I would have payed $1500 for FireGlo if I had the choice. Due to a minor mishap it was refinished and looks like new again. Everytime I play it (or look at) I change my mind about selling but I really don't "need" it.

Pardon my ignorance but having never played anything other than a four string, can you play 8 stringers with your fingers or are they for picks only??

No wise cracks....
