What's with that funky piano tone in the song? Anybody know if its a regular piano or an electric piano? What kind of effect is it run through? (Possibly a Leslie?)

Sounds like a regular acoustic piano run through a leslie. there's also a tecnique called "tack piano" wher you put thumbtacks in the hammer heads -- gives it a very honkytonk, metallic sound. Might've been a little of both. Ringo still does that song live today.
