"When I was 17.."

Post by nattiep »

"I drank some very good beer. I drank some very good beer I purchased with a fake ID. My name was 'Brain McGee', I stayed up listening to Queen... when I was 17."

Today, the 31st (the 30th in the states) is my 17th B day! My B day is really the 31st, but I don't consider myself to actually be 17 til tomorrow.. because I lost a day on the way to NZ.

I'm having a small family get together on Saturday to celebrate.. nothing major. I didn't get much for present this year.. a couple new shirts, money ($110 NZ, going towards a new set up) and some Rotosound 66s from my Grandmother. I haven't gotten the strings yet, so I'm not bringing the bass in til I get them. I also got the new Coldplay CD. Haven't listened to it yet.

My mother makes character cakes as a hobby. She's really good at it. She was going to make a guitar cake, but I caught her with it and said "If yer making one, make it like the Rick"... so I'm getting a 4001 shaped cake!

I'd just like to say thanks to Peter fer the wonderful site, and thanks to all the guys that post in this section. You've taught me A LOT. The teaching is my present from you guys, so you don't have to get me anything. Image

(P.S.: The song was a parody from "The Simpsons" and no, I don't drink.. that stuff's nasty!)

Happy birthday! Now only 1 year until you can vote!

I still find that funny, that somehow people are responsible enough to decide who should run the country at age 18, but not responsible enough to purchase alcohol until they're 21 . . . oh well.
