How does Geddy use the ric-o-sound?

Ive the R30 dvd and on the video Circumstances its clearly that he uses the ric-o-sound output. Does anyone know how he is using that? Ive read somewhere that he uses 2 Sansamps?

back in the old days he used the Ric and 2 real bass amps ... ampeg, traynor, or something ... Geddy has used a lot of different equipment through the years ... these days it is a jazz bass and a sans amp and a few effects and a speaker simulator ... during the 80s he used GK and the wal bass a lot for his clean sound ...
