In an item on www.maccacentral.com
it seems Pete Best found color footage of the Fabs playing on Valentine's Day, 1962. This is earlier than the "Some Other Guy" clip that we've all seen.Image

By jove! Pardon me, but I don't seem to be able to find the film clip of 'the Fabs playing on Valentine's Day, 1962' on either of the links provided. Perhaps it is just an oversight on my part. Silly me.

Would anyone be so kind as to post a link that currently has the clip? Thank you so much. Ta ta.

Oh, bad luck old boy. Have a crumpet? What say, what? Might it be shown on the telly? Bit of a sticky wicket, what?Image

This 35 second film clip has been around for more than ten years. It was sold at auction (Sotheby's?) in 1996. At the time of sale it was reported to be from February 1961. That seems likely, since the Valentine's Day 1962 gig was at the Cavern, and the film is clearly not shot at a Cavern show. I've seen it online many times, but I would really have to poke around on the Web to find it these days. If I run across it, I'll post a url for everyone.

The King's English died about the same time as the last English king.

The King would care if he were alive. Guess we'll have to ask Charles. Meanwhile, I'm going to walk into the house wearing Bermuda shorts ...
