Could anyone advise me where the Fender Strat experts hang out? Is there a place like here for Fenders?

This may be of assistance, John:

Also, if you Google "Fender forum" you'll find quite a few. Try http://www.tdpri.com

Another vote for www.fenderforum.com. I've been a member there for 7+ years now, and you can find out virtually anything about Strats (or anything else Fender ever made). Nice bunch of people too. All the pics in my webshots pages were taken at FDP jams in Cincinnati and Cleveland.
