RIC Fretless strings

Post by jdogric12 »

So no more of those sweet RIC fretless strings? Does anybody know where I could find some? All the other brands feel like plastic to me. The Fenders are garbage, even the Rotosound Nylon Wounds feel a little plastic-y to me.

Have you tried D'Addario Chromes? I have them on all my RIC basses in a custom light set of 40-55-75-95. They sound great on my 4003FL.

TI's are also nice playing and sounding strings for fretlesses as are Pyramids, sorry no picture.
I like the Fenders, they're real old school sounding, real thumpers although very stiff especially for fretless basses.

Yeah, what does he know about flats? Maybe flat tires! Image

Actually I think he has been fooling us all along and has some flatwounds on a couple of basses, for when he decides to join an oldies/Beatles tribute band.
