My New 360/12 Burgandy

Post by mrtidy »

I didn't need another guitar...
A friend of mine calls me two days ago and asks if I'd like to buy his 360/12?
"hmmm...how much?"
$800
"wow, thats low, is it fireglow?"
no it's Burgandy

I'm holding it now. I never realized burgandy is somewhat translucent. This is the prettiest thing i've seen in a while. I haven't had a Ric/12 electric guitar for a while and forgot how great they sound. My main electric has been a 6 string Guild hollowbody for the last few years, and I forgot how much I love this slim neck. And I love the fifth knob! With both pickups on, it's the most useful and musical "tone knob" imaginable. I need to get a burgandy 330/6 to complete the set..

You lucked out, Robert! Congratulations. One of my own favorite colors. Yes, it is translucent and a lovely color.

Burgundyglo is gorgeous! Congratulations, Robert. Willcutt had a stunning 60s Burgundyglo 340 which I SHOULD have bought a hundred times. It had some amazing tiger maple under the finish. Another that got away. Image

Enjoy your 12.

Congratulations Rob. I agree about the color being gorgeous. Is it the same guitar that was listed on eBay a few weeks ago? I saw that one was in our area and I thought about it myself but I already have a 2002 340/12 VP BG. I just put gold pickguards/TRC on it and it looks great.

Yep, it was on ebay and he said he didn't get a single bite at $990.
I seriously need a six-string Rick again. You got any extras over there Kevin?

Rob, I just sold my Montezuma Brown 650C to a Forum member. I will have to look around to see what else I have.

I just received a new 1996 AFG but it is not for sale yet! :-)
