Byrds low tech CD's!

I would love to have the complete Byrds library on CD but have it sound like the old records. I'm I losing my mind here? Sure, I love the sound quaility of CDs but sometimes I just want to kick back and hear 'um with all the pops and skips of an LP record. There is some magic that has been lost with all this new technology IMO.

Cole, the first 5 Byrds LP's (original mono mixes)have been re-released on 180 gram vinyl by Sundazed Records, as well as a lot of other great Byrds LP's, 45's, and EP's. Knock yourself out at www.sundazed.com.

Wow that's a cool site JW! I sure wish I had a way to copy the records to CD though. Sigh...

Try a Philips CDR 820 - 3 CD recorder/changer. They're no longer made, but you could probably find a used one in good condition. I use it all of the time to copy LP's that aren't available on CD. It can be a little touchy, but the end result is exactly what you want - a perfect copy of the LP, surface noise and all. You can even plug a PC keyboard into it. It also makes bit perfect copies of your CD's. It's very handy to have around.
