Shadow bass

could you tell me if the 4003 shadow bass belongs to a limited bass serie (like blackstar, tuxedo and redneck) and how many of these were made?
and how much do you think a '86 shadow bass could value?

The 4003 "Shadow" was not a limited series bass in terms of number but was limited in terms of the number of years during which it was produced. It was crafted from 1986 until about 1989 and it would seem that the precise number made might not be known. The features of this bass are described in David Axt's Bass Article on the Rickenbacker Registration Page. John Hall would be the one to comment on the number produced during this short time.
