Easter rocks!

Post by sabbath_of_bass »

Well... It doesnt really have much to do with easter. Or rics (sorry). But it does have to do with bass. I went and got myself a Fender '54 reissue Pbass today. Now that i see it close up i guess you could say it looks kinda eastery. Heres some picks.

Theres a couple things wrong with it and a couple dings. But i got it for 400. So over all im pretty happy with it. Sounds good. Im just excited so I had to post something.
(once again sorry its not a ric haha)

I LOVE that finish. It's so . . . flower power-y. I guess the appropriate descriptor of the bass would be "Solid!"

I bet it sounds pretty nice though. If you ever don't want it, for some reason, I'll take it off your hands!

Well done Jacob! I really like these MIJ 54 P-Basses. They're very light and the single coil pickup sounds good. And IMHO the finishes are very cool (although I'm sure it's a love/hate thing...).

its for sure a love hate thing.... I actually like the pink one a tad more.... Beautiful. Like I said Chip has one and they both look way better in person. For sure.
I didnt actually go out looking for one. It wasnt on my list. But I saw it on the web and it was at a local store so i had to get it. A tuning machines bent, and the pickguard is lifting. Then theres like 2-3 dings. But Im kinda glad they are there. If they were Id be scared to play it. Haha.
So not fair you have both... lol.

I'd love to see a death metal band with a bassist playing that pink psychedelic P-bass . . . and maybe the guitarist with a blonde telecaster!
