Added to the rig arsenal...

so a few weeks back i traded in a practice PA, a zoom pedal and a SWR workingman's 1x15 and got a decent amount of store credit from guitar center (thanks to my guitarist being the manager). one of the things i acquired is a SWR goliath 2x10 at cost now that GC isn't a SWR dealer. added to my goliath 4x10, this rig cooks. i've got a rackmount sansamp and a qsc 850 to push it all.

Sounds like a sweet rig, Sean. I am using a similar setup, GK 4x10, Ashdown 2x10 and now a Bass Pod Pro thru the power section of my GK 400RBIII. Just set it all up and played it at stage volume. My head hurts. Image

Sounds good Sean, nice deal...and it is still pretty portable!

I run Mesa Diesel cabinets....1-2x10 and 2-1x15's with an Ampeg SVP-Pro/Ashly 2x500 watt amp. I've always felt that a pre/power amp was the way to go and my back appreciates the smaller cabinets. I'd rather have extra annoying trips to the car over one back breaking one! Image

I played out "Old School" last night.

I used the Transonic T100, and no PA reinforcement. The room was a tad too big for it this time. It sounded a little cranky.

When I use it, I can make just one trip from the SUV to the stage, (basses and all), with the use a hand truck.
