Barry: I'm sure everybody has their own way to do it. I personally remove all the old strings at the same time (slowly loosening them). Then I take the opportunity to polish the face of the guitar and clean the fingerboard. Then I slide the Accent pieces apart, feed the new strings into the slots, and slide the Accent back together. The Accent will capture the strings very nicely until you can start tightening them up. I like to cover the face of the guitar near the Accent with a polishing cloth to prevent any accidental scratches while sliding parts around. Good luck!

Hey! That sounds like a good way to do it Randy!

I replace one string at a time, which means that the tension put on the accent by the remaining strings holds the gap to which I slide through the ball ends....if that makes sense!

I do it the same way Randy does.

I replace them all at the same time too with the Accent disassembled. I carefully bend the string over at a right angle with a pair of needlenose pliers about 1/4" from the ball end, put it in place and secure it with a bit of masking tape. Then I slide the whole shebang back into place and string up the tuning pegs one by one, two E's first, then the rest. Tune to pitch. You'll save time by tuning the low strings first--they put the most tension on the Accent and it'll be closer to on pitch when you get to the higher strings. Remove the tape once you get it slid together again.

Spot on Paul - I don't use masking tape or pliers though, I bend 'em myself and sort of constantly pull them so they don't come out. I suppose if I had these tools at my disposal things would be even easier.
I think that I can restring an Ac'cent faster than any other type of bridge.

Faster than a 450?

I haven't been lucky enough to see a 450 (or 420, or 425, or 460) in person, let alone restring one Jason.
